Nick's House of Miscellaneous Fencing

Choose your weapon...

Fencing is a wonderful sport that focuses not on a team but an individual. The fencer doesn't lose because a team member didn't pass the ball, or failed to throw that man out at home plate. Everything is one person's responsibility, and it is up to them to do the best they can.

A fencing bout is usually carried to five points, except elimination bouts, which go to fifteen. A fencer scores a point, or touché, by touching the tip, or in the case of the sabre, any part of the blade, to an opponent's target area, which varies for each weapon.
